اللّهُ لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لاَ تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلاَ نَوْمٌ لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِهِ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلاَ يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلاَّ بِمَا شَاء وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَلاَ يَؤُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ

Bismillah arRahman arRaheem

Allahu laa illaha illa howal hayyul qay'yoom

laa ta'khuthuhu sinatun wala nawmun

lahu ma fis'samaawati wa maa fil ardhi

man thal lathee yashfa'u indahu illa bi ithnihi

ya'lamu maa bayna aydeehim wa maa khalfahum

wa laa yu'heetuna bi shay'in min ilmihi illa bimaa shaa'a

wa'si'a kursiyuhul samaawaati wal ardha

wa laa yu'oodahu hif'dhuhumaa wa huwal aliyyul atheem.

MERITS OF READING AYAT AL KURSI

-The Holy Prophet (saw) told Imam Ali (as):

“Whoever recites the Aayatul Kursi following the wajib prayers, shall be protected by the Almighty Allah (swt) from all troubles afflictions.  In particular, he shall remain under the Divine Protection and peace till the next prayer time.”

-Imam Ali (as) said:  “Whoever recites Aayatul Kursi before sleeping will, he himself, his neighbor and the houses around him will remain under Allah’s protection.”

-The recitation of Aayatul Kursi after every wajib prayer  (obligatory prayer) increases rizk (sustenance).

-Reciting Aayatul Kursi every morning and evening gives protection against thieves and fires, etc.

-Allah has said to the Holy Prophet (saw): 

“Whoever recites Aayatul Kursi shall receive daily 70 times my attention of Grace.  I shall fulfill 70 of his demands and I shall forgive his sins”.

It is stated that when a person recites Aayatul Kursi on a grave, Almighty Allah (swt) creates an angel for every single letter he recites and commands them to pray for the forgiveness of both the reciter and the buriedperson.
